Vocation Options - Vocational Evaluation

How can attorneys and their clients benefit from our vocational services?

Vocation Options has been providing expert witness services since 2009 to plaintiff and defense attorneys. We are available to consult for case validation, participate in depositions, and make trial appearances. We also provide independent vocational evaluations. Our evaluations highlight relevant issues to the specific case, emphasizing key points regarding employability in the current labor market. Our About Us section provides additional information regarding our experience and qualifications. We can provide a CV upon request.

Accidents and injuries can have a major impact on a person’s ability to continue in their current occupation, need for disability accommodation, or future career choices. In our expert witness work, we understand that our obligation is to provide fair and reasonable evaluations of individuals in order to clarify their vocational options. Having an expert provide this type of evaluation helps assure that a client’s vocational status is professionally assessed. This may include assessing wage earning capacity, diminution of earning capacity, employability, transferable skills analysis, and job analysis. We also perform labor market surveys and use national databases for current occupational information.

In our evaluations, we take into consideration an individual’s age, education, previous work experience, earnings record, mental and physical status, and test data. Then we apply our own vocational experience to make recommendations. We understand that vocational experts may be asked to provide vocational and rehabilitation testimony, which may include information concerning vocational testing, vocational exploration, job placement, and job development.
